How big is the Hubble Space Telescope?
The Hubble space probe weighs about 111,000 kilograms. The telescope uses 2.4 metres (6.8 feet) of mirrors to record images. Upon launch Hubble had to focus on its lens due to a minor problem: all the captured photos appeared blurry. It’s much bigger than your average travel telescope.

When the stars align
Scientists believe that the Earendel star is about 50 times the size of the Sun and its brightest star is millions of times bigger. But a great high-mass star cannot be seen at such a large distance without natural magnification.
The mass of this galaxy cluster warps space’s fabric, resulting in strong magnifying glass which distorted and amplified light from distant objects.
Measuring the Observable Universe
Our universe is bigger and expands more. Now, one hundred years later, Hubble is discovering new stars. The Hubble spacecraft now contains a total area of around 200 million galaxies.

How far can the Hubble Telescope see?
GNz11 is the closest star at a distance that is around 13.7 billion light-years away. As light travels only so slowly (299.772,478) it can effectively see distant objects from space as far away.
Even though Hubble had seen GN-z11 about 13.4 billion years ago, this galaxy has surpassed Earth by a distance of 32 billion lightyears due to its expanding universe.
